Back in September, Off White released a cross body “Binder Clip” bag following its spring 2017 presentation in Paris. Designer Virgil Abloh played up the launch by creating an event at which the bags were laid out on a blanket on the street and sold like counterfeit bags.
Offered in red, black and white, the jaunty bag featuring an Off White logo strap and engraved branding on the clip retailed at off—white.com, as well as a handful of exclusive retailers. The bags quickly sold out in all three colors.
It’s become a practice among labels who practice buy-now retailing to sell a limited amount of product immediately following a presentation and then return with more of the items reflective of their actual selling season, and the “Binder Clip” bags are now reappearing at retail.
Price at $900, all three bags are now available for purchase at Barneys in black, red, and white.
