A few weeks ago on social media, Gucci teased a hilarious series of screen test videos, showing models auditioning for the labels retro-space-themed fall ad campaign.
The Italian luxury label followed up with a fall campaign touching on motifs from science fiction movies and TV shows from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, including the transporter room from Star Trek.
Art directed by Christopher Simmonds, the shoot and accompanying video were directed by Brooklyn-based fashion photographer Glen Luchford. If you’re a Rihanna fan, make not that the featured offerings include the head-to-toe silver glitter outfit she wore to Coachella earlier this year.
As with so much Gucci is doing these days, the brand as lead by Alessandro Michele appears to having a blast.
