Puma and U.K. shoe designer Sophia Webster have rolled out all the looks in their dance-themed collaborative collection, one that maximizes the whimsical color and graphic stories that are part of Webster’s appeal.
Webster tapped into the dance theme because its her favorite form of exercise and reached out to her instructor for direction on building items that are movement friendly. “I take weekly dance classes with Sarah Richards, a childhood friend and professional dancer, and my friend Joelle d’Fontaine a dance and fitness instructor,” Webster told British Vogue, which debuted the collection. “We had a mini focus group to discuss comfort, favorite apparel and shoes to dance in and went from there. I designed the collection exactly how I wanted it to look and worked with the experts at Puma to make sure the fit and functionality was spot on.”
The collection includes a reversible track jacket (Webster’s fave), crop top jogger bras, a bodysuit, track shorts, three sneaker silhouettes, a pair of dope comfort-inspired sandals and star-embellished slides.
Two of the sneaker silhouettes are adorned with the cut-out cages that are a defining feature of her hugely popular butterfly heels.
The first drop will releases on September 5th, exclusively at sophiawebster.com. Product will hit Puma’s stores and puma.com on September 9th.
