The brainchild of Tizita Balemay, Plugged NYC has revealed an upcoming “Plugged Nation” collection with an editorial featuring Tizita Balemlay and her three younger sisters. The upcoming launch includes 10 pieces, including the monochromatic crop top and skirt sets shown here.
Commenting on the collection on Instagram, Balemly wrote, “Growing up I hated being the oldest because I always had to fight everyone’s battles and I had no one to protect me. I used to literally cry about how no one is there to defend me but I’m always defending everyone else. I used to get suspended for fighting my sisters battles, bc I felt it was my due to always protect them. Now that my sisters are older they’re my bodyguards loll Oh how times have changed.”
Established in 2016 and spotted on the likes of Rihanna, Keke Palmer and Lil Yatchy, Plugged NYC gained fame through its colorful camo crop tops and cargo pants. The New York-based label saw its signature look hi-jacked by Kylie Jenner who created a camo capsule collection whose silhouettes and color story look like it was a direct knock off of Plugged.
The Plugged Nation collection will drop on pluggednyc.com on October 31, 2017.
