Prada continued its focus on sport with a runway opened by breakout Sudanese American model Anok Yai who was famously scouted attending an event on the campus of Howard University. She’s the first black model to open a Prada runway since Naomi Campbell in 1997.
In addition to the array of high-tech fabrics, the runway debuted a new Cloudbust pull-on ankle boot offered in a new bright pink, as well as the return of flame-detailed shoes, a design feature that made its first appearance on a Prada runway in 2012.
The label showed its presentation in the newly constructed Fondazione Prada complex designed by OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture).
