Designer Virgil Abloh closes out a momentous week with an Off-White women’s resort collection presented via a lookbook shot in Maison du Brésil, a building in the Cité Universitaire complex in Paris. In a nod to Abloh’s architectural roots, the building was designed by widely admired architects Le Corbusier and Lúcio Costa.
The 29 looks were a further evolution of the chic sport look Abloh has been on the forefront of. In an exchange with Vogue, Abloh declared, “Preppiness is dead,” he’s interesting in “what fashion looks like when influenced by activewear.”
Similar to his debut Louis Vuitton collection, women’s offerings used bold color to add energy to looks, like fluorescent green socks, net sandals detailed with cherry red leather hangtags and a bright orange and yellow camo used to fashion a zip-front bikini skirt.
