New York-based label Chrishabana as lead by Chris Habana presented spring 2019 with a sharp collection of silver accessories blending bdsm and industrial themes. Titled “A Song of Lamentation of the Dead,” the event took place at Century 21’s boutique shop-in-shop Next Century, a location that’s become ground zero for New York’s coolest kids since opening in November 2017.
Wearing Vex Clothing latex looks, ghostly-looking models created an otherworldly statement as positioned behind a streaming curtain of dry ice fog. The installation was in part a celebration of the label’s 10th anniversary and included photographs and displays of archival items.
In a press statement, Habana stated, “2018 marks ten years that my brand has been in this business. This spring/summ 2019 presentation is the perfect culmination of everything that I have learned and expressed through our studio work and campaigns. I couldn’t have asked for anything better than to do what I love and have it be accepted and celebrated.”
