Off-White showed a collection for spring 2019 that leaned into the label’s street-infused athletic roots while at the same time blended in designer Virgil Abloh’s delight in creating red carpet worthy dresses that exude energy and edgy.
Titled “Track & Field,” the collection included a mostly white apparel collaboration with Nike, along with a new “The Ten” shoe. Shown in baby blue, the very pretty Zoom Fly SP will surely open the door to bringing more women into this widely-admired shoe partnership.
The show was opened by Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner and in a nod to the show’s athletic theme included U.K.sprinter Dina Asher Smith, U.S. high jumper Vashti Cunningham, Hong Kong high jumper Cecilia Yueng, U.S. Sprinter English Gardner, U.K. heptathlon competitor Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Belgium heptathlon competitor Nafi Thiam, Colombia high and long jumper Caterine Tibarguen and French middle-distance runner Rénelle Lamote.
