New York-based label Vaquera showcases its first pre-fall collection, a set offerings themed on the fun lens of garment care. Showing a total of 11 looks, designers Patric DiCaprio, Claire Sullivan, and Bryn Taubensee created a collection was designed to be more affordable for younger fans of the label.
Designer Di Caprio told Vogue, “Our idea for pre-seasons, is to get the same energy into concise, commercial collections.”
Limited to three different fabrics: cotton poplin, dark denim, and a sweatshirt fabric the collection has been dubbed “Garment Care Season.” Items are stamped with the phrase “dry clean only” or include references to dry cleaning motifs like receipts and stapled-on numbered tabs, which further drive home the point.
