Vancouver-based Frankie Collective has launched a new upcycled leather capsule, marking the first time the brand has made use of recycled materials. Offerings include leather cargo pants, as well as a utility vest, halter top, bucket hat, chest bag and lanyard, all of which are detailed with a Frankie metal logo.
Commenting on the new direction, the company stated in a press release, “In our continued efforts to remove perfectly good materials away from our ever-growing landfills we have created our new leather collection. The amount of leather waste that we see getting thrown away is staggering and we wanted to do our part to help utilize it. We picked through 1000s of pounds of discarded leather to find usable garments to create our collection.”
Items range in price from $68 for a lanyard up to $185 for the leather vest and pants. Visit frankiecollective.com to purchase.
