Nike has announced a collaboration with French makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, a noteworthy makeup artist celebrated for her innovative approach to beauty and power. Together, they’ve reimagined the iconic Air Max Dn in two striking colorways, merging the worlds of sport, style, and beauty.
Ffrench, known for her daring use of color and texture, took inspiration from women athletes whose influence transcends the playing field and extends into the realm of fashion. By channeling their strength and style, she crafted designs that celebrate the intersection of performance and self-expression.In press about the collab, “Beauty has a massive presence in women’s sport today, It’s been inspiring, working with athletes throughout this journey with Nike and humbling to feel that the things I’m creating are helping these women feel good and give them confidence to perform at their peak.” Further she adds ,”For me, the most inspiring thing about the Dn silhouette is how much opportunity it presents to play with texture, color and materials.My favorite parts of the design are probably the rand and heel, where we were able to add metallic tones underneath a glossy acrylic, giving those parts of the shoe an even more extreme and textural look — juxtaposing them against the matte of the upper and sole”
The Isamaya Ffrench x Nike Air Max Dn collection will be available globally on December 20 at Nike.com and select retail partners.
