Jhené Aiko has dropped a visual for a new single titled “While We’re Young,” a simple and sweet love that is made more complex through a video filled with twists and turns.
Directed by Jay Ahn, the video is inspired by the Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler film, 50 First Dates, in which Barrymore’s character suffers from anterograde amnesia and starts each day with no memory of the prior one.
In Aiko’s video, scenes from the movie are recreated, including her waking up in bed next to her love interest (who vaguely resembles real-life boyfriend Big Sean), stricken with panic because she believes he’s a stranger who’s invaded her home.
