The new poster for HBO Girls season 3 was released today. A video preview narrated by each of the lead actresses tells us that Hanna and Adam are together and she is back in good standing with her book editor aka she’s in a good place “but it cannot last.” Jessa’s storyline seems nebulous in that her main activity is “finding herself.” Marni was left “abruptly” by Charlie and is “manically grieving.” Ray is a “coffee impresario” and Shoshanna works for him, her story line also includes being “sexually reckless.” And Elijah is back, which Dunham seems pretty excited about: “He’s so fun, he’s so wise in such a rude, mean way.”
Dunham also reveals that she enjoys following the show on Twitter: “Refreshing, refreshing, refreshing Twitter, to find out in real time whether we’re on to something and whether things feel real because that’s always been the intention of the show.”
Season 3 premieres on January 12th with back to back episodes at 10:00 PM.
