Los Angeles-based brand For Love and Lemons held its preview in New York for Autumn 2015 and this fast growing brand, which is just five years old, has a lot in store, including the launch of a bridal category. One of the biggest delights of the event was to meet and chat with the company’s founders, Gillian Rose Kern and Laura Hall. Fate brought them together in Jackson, Wyoming, where they met at age of 12. Not long after, they formed their first enterprise selling lemon-aid, which inspired the name for their current day company.
As is often the case with great fashion partnerships, they split duties with Kern heading up design while Hall handles number crunching and operations. Love and Lemons got its first big break at online retailer NastyGirl.com, but now also has a widely diverse stocklist, including big names like Saks 5th Avenue and Neiman’s. The brand’s probably best known for its sexy bohemian lingerie but it also offers a full line of ready to wear, all of which exudes the same joi de femme easy vibe.
