Married to the Mob has launched its collection for Autumn 2015, probably the label’s most ambitious and evolved collection to date in that it shows a complete range, including woven button-downs, satin coaches jackets, flounce dresses plus some some super-cute coordinated track suits with most items emblazoned with either logos or “bitchisms” using the Mob trademark font that has been widely copied.
On that note, having covered designer Leah McSweeney and Mob for many years, we’ve always found it crazy how much its ideas are copped by either competing brands in the space or major global brands. Mob isn’t the only streetwear labels whose ideas are taken by any means, but the way establishment fashion still pretends the category doesn’t exist or deign to anoint one or two street-rooted brands as acceptable remains ridiculous. We see you seeing streetwear, it’s obvious!
The beautiful models featured are the Clermont Twins—currently cast on this season of Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club” as shot in Harlem by Sais TV. The MTTM collection shown here is now available for purchase on MTTMNYC.com
