Among the heavy hitters of the music world these days, surprise is the thing to be, and such was the case with Rihanna last night when she revealed the art for her next album, called Anti, at an event held in Los Angeles. All the more surprising because it seemed as of late that Rihanna has been in no rush to release a new body of work, focusing instead it seemed on fashion projects, including her creative partnership with Puma.
Created by Roy Nachum, the album art features Rihanna as a young girl, wearing a crown that covers her eyes. The Jesus-esque crown combined with what looks like a blood-drenched backdrop (which also includes braille lettering) will no doubt give the Illuminati conspiracy theorists something to chew on this morning.
