Leikeli47 stays executing on her music grind, with today’s announcement of a new mixtape titled Lk-47 Part III, her third and final installment in the Lk-47 series. Once again the mixtape reflects the artist’s talent for mixing a sound that’s both strictly underground and catchy as hell. Her talent for banging hits hasn’t gone unnoticed either. Her popular “Fuck the Summer Up” single was included in designer and music lover’s Alexander Wang’s runway soundtrack for his Spring ’16 presentation and was the title track and No. 1 song for Jay Z’s inaugural Tidal playlist.
In conjunction with the mixtape, Leikeli47 has announced plans for a U.S. tour in support of Tokimonsta kicking off on November 9th in San Francisco. Live music lovers make note–more than just a music maker, Leikeli47 is also a skilled performer, putting on a show in which ferocious spit skills are served an atmospheric backdrop that feels as menacing as it does surreal (you see some element of her mischievous side in the art for the album, which includes her trademark ski mask, albeit colored in with a Sharpie).
