Detroit-born rapper Kash Doll builds on buzz from her breakout single “Run My Money” with the release of her first mixtape, titled “Keisha vs. Kashdoll.” Like the title of the mixtape implies, the rapper reveals two sides, a rough and tough boss bitch as balanced by an uber-feminine woman who’se all Barbie.
Expensive fashion labels and focus on getting money are all key components of her top shelf, hustle lifestyle with both her flow and mindset best epitomized by the green-focused “All I Want.” And while Kash clearly views herself as smarter and, well, just better than most females in her world, in “Options” and other songs she low key provides advice on how women can avoid being played by men.
Kash Doll began her career in the entertainment industry as an exotic dancer and was inspired by singer Tinashe to leave dancing behind and try her hand at rap, a story she retells in the song “I’m Kash Doll.”
