As part of a series of items celebrating the coming Olympic year, Nike is honing in on the humble windbreaker, an enduring mainstay of activewear. For women, NikeLab is offering a very high fashion version of its Windrunner, with design input from Sacai designer Chitose Abe and Italian label Stone Island.
Nike’s most recent collaboration with Abe includes mixed materials not commonly associated with activewear and the Windrunner follows that same thread, featuring a faux fur hood and nylon body. The jacket will be available on December 17th at NikeLab retailers and on nike.com/nikelab.
