Singer/songwriter Bibi Bourelly and Def-Jam artist Earl St. Clair have released a video for “Perfect,” a song that examines issues the issue of perfection, as played out in a relationship between lovers. In the video perfection is expressed through clean, white backdrops, clothes and roses, all of which slowly falls apart and becomes very ugly as the two lay out to each other why they find each other too perfect, making the song one of those rare r&b songs examining one of the more highly destructive aspects of romantic love.
Also a Def Jam-signed artist, Bourelly launched her first EP, Free the Real, in May of this year, building on the buzz she gained as one of the writers behind Rihanna’s “BBHM,” a slam dunk she followed with writing credits for two songs on Rih’s ANTI album. Now on tour supporting the album, Rihanna invited Bourelly to open her show in Frankfurt this past week.
