Continuing the trend of linking with influencers, Puma has announced singer the Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye as it latest brand ambassador. According to Puma, “His laid back, streetwise style and swagger make him the right fit to headline Puma’s latest Sportstyle campaign, ‘Run The Streets,’ which launches in November.” Revealing the Weeknd with his new ‘do, images were shot in Los Angeles and Toronto by photographer Mark Seliger, the campaign will show Weeknd sporting Puma’s latest lifestyle shoes and apparel.
Puma and the Weeknd will also put together a collaborative collection of sneakers and apparel that will fuse Puma’s sport-inspired designs with the Weeknd’s own label, XO. The collection is expected to hit retail in 2017.
