Under the new design leadership of Anthony Vaccarello, Paris luxury label Saint Laurent has released a black and white short, titled “YSL04 Evening Part 1.”
Directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, the film depicts a dark lit club scene and stars many of Vaccarello’s favorite models: Freja Beha Erichsen, Cara Taylor, Hiandra Martinez, Jourdana Phillips, Mileshka, Sasha Kichigina and Selena Forrest. It also features male models David Friend and Josh McLellan.
While we do catch glimpses of the label’s fashion, it’s mostly a film designed to create an aura of beauty and lux decadence in association with the label.
The soundtrack is Erichsen reading a text by Andy Warhol over Beethoven’s Symphony No 7.
