Performing in Poughkeepsie, New York, last night, Young M.A revealed a diva side, instructing fans to take out their phones prior to performing her most popular song “OOOUUU.” Beyond just a friendly request, she repeatedly demanded to see phones and when individuals near the stage chose not to pull out their phones, she commanded them to move to the back of the room.
Young M.A has been getting nothing but love from the culture, but she’s still the new kid on the block, and this type of behavior is not the best look as she works to expand her fandom. And while it’s not fair, because she’s a woman, she will be judged harsher for any less than perfect behavior.

Update: At a performance in Rochester, New York, last night (November 19th), Young M.A. apologized for her behavior at the event in Poughkeepsie, saying, “I fucked up, I was on the Henny.”
