One of the most popping events held during Art Basel was MoMa PS1’s event, which took place on Friday night at Miami’s Hotel Delano. Hosted by Hood by Air designer Shayne Oliver and artist Jacolby Satterwhite at the hotel’s FDR Lounge, the evening kicking off with an artful Hood by Air and Pietro Hugo poolside fashion presentation (more about that here), followed by a spoken word presentation by Lena Dunham’s sister, Grace Dunham, and a mystical, half performance art/half musical performance by New York rapper Princess Nokia.
Check out clips of Princess Nokia‘s dope performance of “Bruja” from her 1992 album below. She was clad in a Hood by Air x Starter “Realness” coat, a “Wench” top, slick red knickers and a pair of all-white Huarache sneakers. Midway through the song, she stripped down to her undergarments and after being cover with a white cape, she strode into the pool and literally walked on water.
