Tennis superstar Serena Williams has let the world know she officially is betrothed to 32-year-old, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, an announcement she made for all the world to revel in on Reddit. Williams and Ohanian have been dating since fall 2015. According to her announcement, Ohanian popped the question in Rome. The post was accompanied by an illustration (below), which read, “Future Mrs. Kn0wthing.”
In the post (below) Serena made the announcement in the form of a poem:
I came home
A little late
Someone had a bag packed for me
And a carriage awaited
Destination: Rome
To escort me to my very own “charming”
Back to where our stars first collided
And now it was full circle
At the same table we first met by chance
This time he made it not by chance

Ohanian responded to the post by writing, “And you made me the happiest man on the planet.”
And fear not, Serena fans, rest assured that Ohanian isn’t after Williams’ substantial stacks. As founder of Reddit, he come to the table with his own pile of cash. According to Slate, “His net worth is in the neighborhood of $4.5 million, or approximately 3 percent of Williams’ own. That’s because he and co-founder Steve Huffman sold Reddit to Conde Nast in 2006, just a year after they launched it, and long before it blew up and became ‘the front page of the Internet.’”
