As the fashion cycle moves away from athleisure, demand for denim over the past couple years has been surging so it makes sense that Kith would make its own statement on the category. The first collection includes two different cuts of jeans and an over-sized trucker jacket. Launched today (January 27), several pieces have already sold out.
Composed of 12-ounce Moroccan denim, Kith’s Monroe cut is a skinny leg jean with an extra-long inseam for stacking and the Varick jean has a tapered silhouette. All styles are offered in black, medium indigo and light indigo. The Monroe styles are all distressed and some of the Varick silhouettes feature a white, screened Kith logo printed over a ripped left knee.
Among offerings, the piece that would have the most appeal for women is the “Hawkins Destroyed Trucker,” an “over-sized drop-shoulder distressed denim jacket, available in light indigo and black, also branded with a white, screened Kith logo. And yep, the jacket is one of the pieces that sold out upon arrival.
In addition to the arrival of Kith denim, the spring collection also includes the label’s Astor bomber jacket and the return of the thermal line of hoodies, sweatpants and long sleeved crews made in collaboration with Los Angeles-based Calux.
Offerings are now available at all Kith shops and kithnyc.com.
