Singer Maxine Ashley has kicked off 2017 with a wavy six-song EP titled Paranoid. Despite the angst-filled title, the dreamy sounds of the project are capable of providing an escape from the dread many of us feel over a coming Donald-Trump lead presidency.
Signed to Pharrell Williams’ i Am Other record label, the six-song EP’s strongest single is The Optimist-produced “Paranoid” a song that perfectly captures the mind-bending process of believing what one is told versus one’s instincts when in an intimate relationship.
