Multiple designers including Tom Ford have gone on the record saying they will not dress Melania Trump during her time as the First Lady. In Tom Ford’s case, he said she had asked years ago, but she wasn’t his image.
When asked about the controversy, Donald Trump claimed that in the case of Ford, his wife wasn’t a fan. “Never asked Tom Ford, [Melania] doesn’t like Tom Ford, doesn’t like his designs,” said Trump, who added that he received a call from hotel owner Steve Wynn who was upset enough about what Ford said to remove his clothing from his Las Vegas hotel.
While Trump lies non-stop, in this case a Wynn Las Vegas representative confirmed to Racked that Tom Ford’s line of cosmetics and sunglasses had been removed from its retail locations last weekend.
Las Vegas is filled with tons of great hotel locations so fortunately removing Wynn Las Vegas and Encore from the list will be a painless one.
