Amina Blue‘s latest photo shoot took place at a Monster Truck rally, where the model was shot by retailer SSense wearing some the hottest names in the game at the moment, including Maison Margiela, Alexander Wang, Rick Owens, Gucci, among others. In a shout out to the backdrop, Blue’s normally blonde hair was done up in a countrified mullet and bouffant, a different and cute look for the petite model.
In the accompanying interview, Blue was asked quite a bit about her relationship with the Kardashians and Kanye West, who has cast her in most of his Yeezy presentations. “I’m vegan, and they’re kind of heavy on the fur and animal products,” she said, while adding, “We just work together. We work really well together. We get stuff done. I guess you can’t really judge until you’re fully in their shoes. They have a lot to deal with.” That said, Blue noted she doesn’t have much of a relationship with Kylie Jenner.
On West, Blue remains a friend and fan even after West’s decision to meet with Donald Trump. “The thing with Kanye is that I don’t think he plays many games. Everything that comes out of his mouth is usually what he’s thinking. You just gotta take what he says and deal with it,” exolained Blue. “I know a lot of people are upset with that whole Trump thing. I was, too, like: What’s he doing with Trump? But once you hear his reasoning, and I’m not saying I agree with it, you know, everybody’s different. Maybe it’s a good thing that he’s meeting the president of the United States. If you can’t beat ’em you might as well just join ’em.”
Not one to say a whole lot, Blue did reveal some new info about herself in the interview. For starters, she just shot a pilot for VH1 themed around influencers. She has four pitbulls and she just bought a home to renovate in North Carolina, in part because her grandmother lives there, but also because she’s not big on city life.
“If I don’t have to go outside, I’d rather not. I’m not a party person. I don’t go to the club often,” she commented. “I have a really weak stomach and I throw up everywhere. I’ll have a glass of wine, but with hard liquor I can’t do it.”
We already know Blue was planning a vegan shoe line, but now we know it’s coming out in April.
