Now that the The Pinkprint era is officially in the tail lights, Nicki Minaj has wasted no time dispensing with the man, Meek Mill, who inspired it, but also making amends with her label mate and old friend, Drake, with whom things had grown frosty thanks to a rap beef that she was unhappily stuck in the middle of.
Minaj made the mended fence official with two Instagram images, one with her leaned up against Drake and a second pic with her longtime mentor, Lil Wayne, along with Drake. Images include a shout out to Young Money president, Mack Maine, leaving one to conclude all of this camaraderie is going to lead to some new music from the trio.
All of which somehow brings to mind Rihanna’s “Needed Me” lyrics, “Didn’t they tell you I was a savage…..?” Or perhaps the famous Godfather line, “It’s always business, never personal.”
