After blessing us in January with “Drew Barrymore,” the first single from her upcoming CTRL album, SZA returns with a new website and a video titled “Where the Hell Have You Been?” that includes footage from the past year, described as the “lead up to CTRL” It also contains snippets from what we presume is her soon-to-be-released album.
As for what went into CTRL, we see footage from SZA’s Coachella performance, plus captioned shout outs to Michiana, Tulum, Dr. Lang, Boedy, [Chris] Classick, Outherboyz, Ty, Punchino [aka Terrance “Punch” Henderson?], Buddy Guy, Tanisha, Scrip and Kehlani, all of whom we presume were places or people involved in some way with making CTRL.
As filmed and edited by Jason Chandler, Cody Jordan, James Rothman and Fredo Tovar, check out the video below, plus a CTRL lookbook featuring Salem Mitchell that includes album-related merchandise.
