Detroit-born rapper Kash Doll has dropped the visual for her single “For Everybody,” a song that is themed on a battle of words between a wife and a side chick warring over the same man. The video taps into the 1998 Hype Williams-directed film Belly, recreating the look of a well-known scene in which characters Keinna and Keisha in their respective bedrooms argue by phone over Tommy, a man they’re both claiming.
The rapper explained that the song and video contain a message for women on both sides of the fence. “I wanted to tell a story that both types of women (wife and mistresses) can relate to,” said Doll in an interview with Fader. “At the end of the day, it’s not either one of the women’s fault. They are both arguing about a position that he gave away and both women make good points.”
