In a bit of surprising gossip, it was revealed on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live” a couple nights ago (March 6, 2017), that model and actress Naomi Campbell and Rihanna have unfollowed each other on Instagram. When asked by host Andy Cohen if the two are beefing, Campbell, who appeared with Ru Paul, gave mixed signals. “Everything’s fine,” she said and added, “Of course it’s fine. She then winked and noted, “I’m an actress now, Andy.”
Making note of the wink, Cohen asked her what the beef was about and Campbell did an about face and said, “I don’t have beef, I don’t have beef especially with black women that I think are…who are powerful and out there, we’re all in the same thing, doing the same struggle.”
If their relationship has grown frosty, it was very much a behind-the-scenes falling out. Campbell has been known for supporting Rihanna’s fashion efforts, having attended Rihanna’s first runway presentation with Puma in February 2016 in New York, and subsequently was shot wearing the line in a Vogue Italia editorial.
As recently as August 2016, Rihanna and Campbell were spotted backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards event looking very warm and friendly.
Rihanna unfollowed Jennifer Lopez in December 2016 in response to rumors Lopez was dating Drake.
