Not one to kick up her heels and chill, our fave Rihanna has let it be known she’s holding holding her third Diamond Ball in New York City this year, moving the ball from its location in Los Angeles in 2014 and 2015.
The Diamond Ball is a formal event whose purpose is to raise funds for the Clara Lionel Foundation, a non-profit named after her grandparents that she started in 2012. The foundation’s aim is to help assist communities in health, education and the arts.
New York is a great location to hold fundraisers because there are insane numbers of wealthy people who live here, plus, as Rihanna also noted that it’s a media hub, which means the organization will receive a lot more shine.
“New York always offers the perfect background for an amazing event. It’s a great way to celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation’s accomplishment as well as bring awareness to our mission globally,” she commented in a press statement.
It’s also a great opportunity to see Rihanna is a gorgeous ball gown like the Dior dress she wore (shown above) to the 2015 event.
The ball will take place on September 14th at Ciprani on Wall Street.
