Solange Knowles headed to Austin Wednesday (March 15, 2017) to perform at the SXSW Music Festival, and injected the event with a uniquely beautiful, soulful vibe, performing most of the music from her widely-praised and Grammy-award winning album, A Seat at the Table, released in September 2016.
Knowles of course didn’t just perform music, but created the same artful visual appeal of “Cranes in the Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” through a lilac-colored set and coordinated dance routines. With laid back looks provided by Phlemuns, Knowles and her back up band provided the capacity crowd with an other-worldly performance, which had the crowd that walked in, floating on their way out the door.
