Based on their respective Instagram accounts, it appears Anti Social Social Club and A Bathing Ape are working on a collaboration together. Other than the art showing ASSC’s and Bathing Ape’s logos against a camo backdrop, there isn’t any information about what will be included in the drop or where it will be carried.
On a side note, ASSC probably holds the current title as streetwear’s most controversial label. There have been complaints about the label’s ability to ship on time, the fact most of its customers are women (guys, you are wack for that one), as well as criticism of its logo.
Founder Neek Lurk’s commitment to saying as little as possible both helps and hurts the label, building mystique while at the same time, irritating millennials who are accustomed to a more service-oriented attitude from the brands they buy from. Despite jawing, its drops always sell out quickly and there’s no denying that at the moment the brand is generating enviable levels of heat.
All that said, it’s safe to say most people would probably be relieved to hear that Bathing Ape is handling shipping duties for this collaboration.
