As always, walking the walk when it comes to supporting up-and-coming designers, Rihanna attended Parsons School of Design’s annual fundraiser, held on Manhattan’s Pier 60 tonight (May 22, 2017), an event at which she and Eileen Fisher were honored for their philanthropic work and fashion achievements.
In attendance with her bestie, Melissa Forde, her grandfather and cousin Noella Alstrom, Rihanna sporting a short wavy bob gave a brief speech after receiving her award, and also was on hand to observe a runway presentation with designs provided by the 32 graduates of the school’s fashion program.
Rihanna wore an over-sized khaki suit by Matthew Adams Dolan, a Parson graduate who’s designs she’s worn in the past. She was styled by Jahleel Weaver, who made some fashion waves when he dressed Rih-Rih for Coachella in a head-turning, full silver Gucci bodysuit and mask back in April.
