Sneaker and streetwear reporter Jazerai Allen-Lord aka Jazzy Lord caused a stir this afternoon (June 11, 2017) when she posted an image of an Adidas Originals Yeezy Adilette, with the caption, “Let me go ahead + break the internet while cleaning my room. look what I found.”
Yeezy-obsessive site yeezymafia.com immediately followed up with a tweet, announcing the slides might be dropping sometime in fall 2017. Allen-Lord responded to @yeezymafia’s tweet, saying she never said anything about a fall release date, though it appears @yeezymafia had already heard rumors about the slide and chose to confirm them when they saw Allen-Lord’s image.
Further scrum was caused when @solecollector tweeted about the slides and a follower declared them fake-fake-fake, showing a photo of a very similar-looking, non-Yeezy, Adilette slide. Allen-Lord pulled up with verbal receipts, saying she came by the shoes through an ex, who she described as now working as a stylist for Kanye West.
A @yeezymafia follower then posted up images of Yeezy slides, said to be shot at a Yeezy Season 4 showroom, an image @yeezymafia retweeted in support of the coming drop.
Yeezymafia.com tends to be accurate so it might be withholding further evidence of the Yeezy Adilette, but for now it remains a giant question mark.
