In advance of the release of sultry singer H.E.R.‘s “Volume 2” EP, the RCA-signed recording artist has shared a video for “Every Kind of Way,” a single on the EP. Directed by Sean Frank, the video captures New Yorkers connecting and in some cases disconnecting through a montage of endearing clips.
On her Facebook page, the mysterious singer (rumored to be Gabi Wilson) shared her inspiration for the upcoming album and why she pushed out the release date by a couple of weeks.
“Music has been the only thing I’ve wanted to do all my life. It’s a release of Love, Truth, Pain, Happiness, Triumph and Reflection. I am beyond grateful that you guys are by my side on this journey to help us create something that’s truly special together,” wrote H.E.R. “That being said, I have to admit that I am definitely a bit of a perfectionist and I want to continue to put out the best bodies of work I can, so I decided to switch some songs on the #HERvol2 EP and had to move the date to June 16th as a result. Trust me, it will be worth the wait and I know you’ll love the music.”
H.E.R. “Volume 2” will drop on June 16th and is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
