Nike Offers Custom Embroidery Services On Cortez At SoHo Store

One of the biggest trends in street style has been an embrace of embroidered details. The trend has its roots in the return to popularity of souvenir jackets, but really took off when Gucci introduced its Ace sneaker line, which was marked by embroidered flowers.

Embracing the trend, Nike is offering customer embroidery services on its Cortez classic running shoe at its new New York store in SoHo . It’s all part of the celebration of the silhouette’s 45th anniversary, which has included the release of the shoe in a wide range of color and material stories.

The Nike SoHo store is located at 529 Broadway and is open from 10:00 AM EST to 8:00 PM EST.

First in hand look at Nike's upcoming 2025 Ekiden

First in hand look at Nike's upcoming 2025 Ekiden collection comprising four performance running shoes that include Vaporfly 3, AlphaFly 3, Zoom Fly 6 and Rival Fly 4 (not pictured).

The capsule is a celebration of Japan's ekiden races, a long-distance relay race. The first ekiden race was held in 1917, and was run over three days between the old Japanese capital of Kyoto and the modern capital of Tokyo, a distance of 508 km (316 miles).

The shoes are distinguished by a flame on the front half of the shoe meant to symbolize "the fire that burns within all racers and the torches used during the night legs of the earliest ekiden competitions."

While Nike has been producing ekidon running shoes since the '90s, the flame on the 2025 collection is inspired by a Zoom Spectrum, designed by Steve Smith in 2003. In 2018, Nike worked with Supreme to relaunch the shoe.

While exact pricing isn't yet available, the shoes are expected to launch in December 2024.

Louis Vuitton officially ended its partnership with Takashi Murakami in 2015, following the departure of creative director Marc Jacobs in 2013, who first initiated the collaboration with the Japanese artist in 2002.

For over 13 years, Murakami developed an iconic portfolio of designs for the house, including Cherry Blossom (2003), Panda (2004), Cerises (2005), MOCA Hands (2007), Monogramouflage (2008) and Cosmic Blossom (2010).

Audemars Piguet has partnered with Brooklyn-based artist KAWS to unveil a striking new iteration of the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon, spotlighting the artist's iconic Companion character.

The 43mm brushed and sandblasted titanium timepiece brings KAWS' playful artistry to life in a sculptural form. The Companion's iconic skull-shaped head, X-shaped eyes, and gloved hands, appears to press against the sapphire crystal, creating an almost lifelike interaction. At the heart of the design lies the tourbillon cage—a tribute to KAWS' Dissected series.

A limited-edition, 18-inch-high walnut sculpture of Kaws:Holiday Companion, sitting atop the Audemars Piguet’s headquarters is already sold out.
