It’s week 17 and according to @dropsbyjay it’s one of Supreme‘s final drops for spring 2017. First things first, THE NAS PHOTO T-SHIRT IS PART OF THE FALL DROP.
What are the collaborative items? There is a 666 Vans Classic Slip-On ($88), a shirt collabo with Playboy ($136) plus a previously unseen Champion tank top ($62). It’s not known what the fabric is.
What are the hottest items according to social media comments? Definitely the Barack Obama button up ($128), which Supreme happens to be dropping the day following Donald Trump’s birthday. If you’re buying the joint for yourself, buy whatever you like, but for resell, the maroon (or purple or red, whatever your descriptive preference) Obama anorak had a higher resale value than the green.
There’s also quite a bit of chatter around the Playboy button ups, and also some buzz around the Champion tank tops, which may grow or die down once people know what the fabric is. The fact that the Vans Classic slip-on and beach towel ($60) features the number 666 means some people love them and other are really spooked by them.
For low key Supreme fans, who are all like, eff a box logo, don’t sleep on the “Rather Be Dead” jacquard top ($78) in three colors. Might the words be a reference to the single “Rather Be Dead” by Swedish hardcore band Refused? Not sure but it’d be kinda dope if they were.
This collaboration will hit Supreme’s Los Angeles, London, New York and Paris stores at 11:00 local time on June 15, 2017. The U.S. online shop goes live at 11:00 EST and the European one at 11:00 BST. Offerings drop in Japan on June 17th.
