As part of an ongoing relationship, Supreme has once again linked with roots skateboard brand Thrasher on a collection of t-shirts, zip and pullover hoodies, short sleeve shirts, poplin jacket and boyfriend pants.
Offerings are marked by trademark Thrasher graphics, including a vintage comic graphic, showing a woman tearfully lamenting, “Why can’t my boyfriend skate?” plus the brand’s “skate and destroy” tagline. The branding call outs are featured separately on some items and together on t-shirts and hoodies.
The announcement was supported by a very dope video directed by skater Mark Gonzales that reveals the beauty of urban skate, a visual that is backed with”Light Up Your Spliff,” a 1999 single by U.K. dub reggae group Bush Chemist. The video also includes a visual shout out to New York skater and Supreme fave Tyshawn Jones, who appears in the video and is the star of the lookbook.
This collaboration will be a part of the week 16 drop, hitting Supreme’s Los Angeles, London and New York and Paris stores and online on June 8, 2017. It goes live in Japan on June 10th.
