Bronx rapper Cardi B made her first appearance yesterday (July 18, 2017) on The Wendy Williams Show as part of Williams’ birthday special, a show that included an appearance by Rick Ross.
Cardi kicked off her appearance with a performance of “Bodak Yellow,” her first Billboard Hot 100 single. The 24-year-old looked sharp, wearing a blue Loewe coat with a yellow Azzedine Alaia belt paired with Dolce & Gabanna heels.
Williams quizzed Cardi on why she left Love & Hip Hop NY, and also did her best to get Cardi to give up some details on her relationship with Migos member Offset. Cardi stayed tight-lipped, but did mention she calls her alleged boo Raindrop.
Williams then casually dropped that she had heard Cardi isn’t a fan of Karrueche, who is said to be dating Migos member Quavo. Cardi reacted with genuine surprise, denying she had any issue with her.
After he appearance, Cardi also provided some advice to all the dreamers, trying to build careers in the entertainment business. Cardi recommended that people pursuing their dream remain employed and also put a time limit on fulfilling their goals. “Sometimes your dreams might leave you in a choke hold,” explained Cardi.
