It took a while to work through the legalities, but New Zealand-based Deadly Ponies’ accessory collaboration with Hasbro’s beloved My Little Pony toys is finally ready to break past the gate.
Titled “Dash,” the bag and accessory range includes faux-fur key charm versions of the franchise’s three most popular ponies, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. Riffing on the rainbow associated with the cartoon, the bags and scarves are marked by a colorful chevron graphic.
Reflecting on the project Deadly Ponies founder Liam Bowden told Viva, “This is our most unique project ever, It’s been fun but also scary, because My Little Pony is such a cult icon”.
The 13-piece collaboration of bags, wallets and scarves of 13 pieces hits retail on August 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM NZST in-store and online at deadlyponies.com.
