At the first-ever NBA Awards show, which Drake hosted, Nicki Minaj performed a three-song set that opened with Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz. She performed “Realize” with 2 Chainz, then took the stage by herself for “No Frauds” and Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish”.
Minaj entered the stage lying atop a gold four-poster bed carried by servants, wearing a Zana Bayne white and gold bikini paired with white Pleaser boots, topped with an Adrienne Landau fur coat.
All three songs were filled with clap backs, some clearly aimed at Remy Ma with other taking shots at Minaj’s ex, Meek Mill. In “Realize,” she comes directly for Remy, accusing her of using her husband to ghostwrite and also pointing out Remy couldn’t get clearance on the “Ether” beat she used in her “Shether” diss, effectively killing its ability to go viral.
In the single, Minaj sings, “Papoose wrote a ‘Ether’ record; But I broke Aretha record. See this is chess, not checkers. You can not check the checkers Did Nas clear that ‘Ether’ record? Nah, but I broke Aretha record.”
