If love the Cortez but either don’t want a leather shoe or were hoping for a modern version of the shoe, Nike has you covered. Offered in two of the shoe’s original colorways, white/red/blue and black.white, Nike is offering a Cortez Flyknit.
Tapping into the shoe’s original features, the shoe features a similarly-sized Swoosh plus lace guards and a toe cap that mimic the Classic. At the same time, the sole is modernized and the upper features the foot-hugging Flyknit material story, enabling you to go sock free.
There is not a lot of detail out there on pricing or where this shoe will drop, but it will begin to hit retail (perhaps in a limited way) on July 4, 2017. After this initial launch, additional colors will be introduced throughout the summer.
