The chunky sneaker is shaping up to be a piping hot sneaker trend and Fila‘s classic Disruptor 2 sneaker is very much a part of the story. An urban shoe favorite in the South throughout the ’90s, the lug-soled shoe faded from favor but quietly has been building buzz over the past couple years.
Reflecting the brand’s rising profile, New York-based retailer Barneys has partnered with Fila on a exclusive “Fila XO Barneys” apparel and shoe collection that includes a women’s version of the distinctive Disruptor 2 as well as the Drifter slide with both offered using upgraded material stories.
Priced at $120, the Disruptor 2 offered by Barneys is offered in a soft pink and classic white and includes a silver “X” embroidered on the left heel tab and an “O” on the the right shoe. The Drifter slide is offered in pink and navy terry.
