MadeMe and Japan’s X-Girl have announced plans for a second collaborative collection, a follow up to their spring 2017 collection. Reflecting the cool-girl ethos of both brands, MadeMe founder tapped Lourdes “Lola” Leon to model the looks. The ten-piece workwear-inspired collection includes quilted hooded work jackets, Harrington jackets, long sleeve striped tops, coordinated zip tops and double-knee pants, mini-skirts, ringneck t-shirts, plus mini backpacks and beanies.
Photographed by Mayan Toledano, images were shot in an array of downtown New York locations, including a rooftop, a jewelry/hair salon, a dollar store and a porn shop.
“I personally wanted to work with Lola for a long time,” said Magee in an interview with Vogue. “I would see her on Instagram a lot and would see the stuff she would wear. It is really close to a MadeMe vibe. She’d wear an old Polo Sport or an old Tommy Hilfiger piece.”
The entire collection is now available at mademenyc.com.
