Nike and Los Angeles label A.L.C. have announced plans for a three-shoe Cortez capsule whose campaign features Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas as well as models Bhumika Arora and Cindy Bruna, shot by Danielle Levitt in Venice Beach, California.
Offered in black, terracotta and cream, the shoes are detailed with brass lace tips, snakeskin on the heel and inspirational quotes on the foot beds and come with longer laces to provide ankle-tie styling options.
The Cortez is a favorite of A.L.C. founder Andrea Lieberman, who likes the shoe’s classic clean looks. “The Cortez has always been my go-to shoe,” Lieberman told the Business of Fashion. “I design A.L.C. clothes with a sneaker in mind, and I think people have started to style their daily outfits with sneakers in mind, too.
The Nike Cortez by A.L.C. will launch on August 25, 2017 at Nike x Nordstrom sneaker boutiques and Nordstrom The Grove. On August 28th, the shoes will launch on nike.com and Nike+ SNKRS, as well as at Net-A-Porter, additional Nordstrom stores and at A.L.C.
