London-based Palace Skateboards has revealed a fall 2017 lookbook, which highlights some of the items included in the brand’s fall collection. among all the offerings, the purple hoodie with a Palace logo and the purple puffer jacket both stand out.
Among the photos of tops, jackets and bottoms, there’s an image of a model holding a red loafer to his ear, which is perhaps a play on lyrics in Jay-Z’s “The story of O.J.,” in which he states “Y’all on the ‘gram holding money to your ear. There’s a disconnect, we don’t call that money over here.”
Following the release of the song, multiple rappers including Boosie, Drake and Future clapped back with images of money phones held to their ears.
On a side note, we have heard through the grapevine ever since Palace opened up a New York store, an intense rivalry has grown with Supreme to the point where employees immediately will be fired by either store if they’re spotted on the grounds of the competition’s store.
The offerings shown here will launch at Palace’s London and New York stores on August 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM EST. The online shop goes live on August 18th at 11:00 BST in Europe and 11:00 EST in the United States.
